On Monday, our family leaves for church camp. We can't wait. Yes, it's hot and there is a lot of walking, but it is so refreshing to get away from our home town, our usual responsibilities, and hear God's Word!
My daughter has been a great help with packing so far, and plans on helping me this weekend! It's wonderful to have the extra help!
Now, for a few fun memes...
MY FRIDAY FILL-IN
1. The last thing I ate was taco pizza and pudding with vanilla wafers.
2. A new shirt is something I recently bought. It's a dark teal.
3. When it rains, it is enjoyable, as long as I don't have to go out in it.
4. My Savior was the first person I talked to today. My daughter and hubby are still sleeping. My son isn't even here.
5. Hugs are the best! The can lift one's mood in a flash!
6. Having a caring husband who is there for you and your children brings extra comfort.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to more packing (lol), tomorrow my plans include even more packing and some shopping and Sunday, I want to find out if anymore of my church family is going to church camp!
You can take your turn:
FRIDAY FIVE
This is my first time to participate in Friday Five. It's all about food today. Here goes:
1. What is your favorite vegetable? I'll go with broccoli.
2. What is your favorite salad dressing, sauce, gravy, or condiment? ranch, ranch, and ranch. We'll put ranch dressing on almost anything.
3. What is your favorite culture's food? Mexican - I love fajitas, enchiladas, and other mexican food. Salsa gives me heartburn, but I still eat it.
4. What is your favorite beverage? Honestly, it is water. I have had other favorites in the past, such as Diet Pepsi, but drinks like that tend to hurt me (indigestion, etc.). Water truly makes me feel better, gives me more energy, and satisfies my thirst.
5. What is your favorite food? I used to love hamburgers more than anything, but I think I've burned myself out on them. Now, I'd say it was salsa and chips from Chili's.
You can take your turn at the Friday Five.
PRAYER REQUEST
Please keep my children's spiritual growth and character in your prayers. I have been neglectful and was awakened to that last night!!

Family camp sounds like fun. Hope you guys have a great time. It's nice when children get old enough that they can really be a help. It's one of the benefits of them growing up...one of the few. I sure wish mine could stay young for a little while longer.
I came over from Joan's blog. Congrats on your win! Hope you have a great weekend!
Oh and I love chips & salsa from Chili's too. Yummy!
Alicia ~ Thanks for stopping by. How old are your children. Heading over to your blog now.
Tami,
I have one son who is 12. He is the light of my life who is growing up way too quickly. I am sad. But I am also excited to see the person he is becoming. I continue to tell him that I want him to do what God wants him to do. I pray that his love for God & His word continues to grow. What a blessing to be a parent.
Take care!
Hope you're having a great time!
Alicia ~ It is encouraging to read your comment about your son. My son is 12, and I am thankful that he is saved. I just need to be more of a Christ-like example.
